Thus, if a new product or project is truly going to be transformational for your company, expect it to have enemies. These enemies’ very survival may be at stake or at least seem to be, so you’ll probably witness some undermining. As you see people pushing back against necessary change, just keep in mind the quote above. The people protesting often have their own motivations, so rather than get discouraged, start figuring out how you’ll get them on board.
